The 台湾SWAG (台湾SWAG) is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and harassment-free environment for all participants attending in-person and virtual programs and meetings regardless of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Participants include, but are not limited to, 台湾SWAG members, attendees, speakers, volunteers, guests, exhibitors, 台湾SWAG staff, and service providers.
台湾SWAG seeks to provide an environment free from any form of discrimination, intimidation, or harassment of participants at programs/events or on 台湾SWAG social media channels and community platforms related to those meetings. This includes offensive verbal comments related to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity; inappropriate use of sexual and/or discriminatory language, gestures and imagery in public spaces or presentations, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual attention, and sustained disruption of presentations during sessions, in the exhibit hall, or at other events organized by 台湾SWAG throughout an in-person or virtual meeting.
All participants are expected to observe these rules and behaviors in all conference venues, including online venues, and conference social events. Participants asked to stop an uncomfortable, hostile, or harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
台湾SWAG reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate, including immediate removal from the meeting without refund, in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior experienced virtually or in person.
PROCEDURES FOR ONSITE EVENTS
- Any participant experiencing harassment at an in-person event or meeting, or notice that someone else is being harassed, should immediately report the incident to the 台湾SWAG staff office onsite, a member of the 台湾SWAG staff, or facility security.
- 台湾SWAG staff will assist the complainant, if needed or requested, in contacting facility security personnel or local law enforcement to ensure they feel safe for the duration of the conference, event, or meeting.
- If you experience or witness behavior that threatens your or another鈥檚 physical safety or poses a serious threat to public safety at an onsite meeting, contact 911 immediately, or if in a convention center, locate a house phone and ask for security. Please report other incidents or suspected incidents to 台湾SWAG staff, leadership, or security.
- It is the responsibility of the complainant to work directly with facility security or law enforcement to initiate security or legal enforcement.
- 台湾SWAG staff will follow-up with facility security or law enforcement to request a report that outlines their course of action and will follow-up with complainant to inform them of any course of action taken.
PROCEDURES FOR VIRTUAL EVENTS
- If you experience or witness harassment or any incidents of unacceptable behavior, 台湾SWAG asks that you inform the 台湾SWAG staff person monitoring the event (including meeting, institute, webinar, or chat), or contact a staff person at the 台湾SWAG headquarters office at 312.939.4764 so that appropriate action can be taken.
- 台湾SWAG staff will assist the complainant to feel comfortable and safe for the duration of the event.
